About Campement Zmela
Zmela Camp has a long history. In 2004, the first tents were erected to serve as a base camp for our treks. It was the campsite of our agency Libre Espace Voyages, which has been organizing desert trips since 2002.
From the very beginning, our clients and friends were enchanted by the site, in the middle of nowhere, at the foot of the great dunes.
With more and more tents, a kitchen, and bathrooms, Zmela gradually became a complete facility, and the company "Campement Zmela" was created. Since then, we have continued to improve the comfort of both our clients and our on-site staff.
Today, it is a beautiful structure that we invite you to discover.
It offers simple but comfortable accommodation, delicious traditional cuisine with great attention to cleanliness and hygiene. The camp offers accommodation in the Tunisian Sahara, at the gateway to the Grand Erg Oriental, accommodation in tents, bungalows, there is also the possibility of camping.
Our values
From the creation of the camp we have been keen to respect our values as much as possible:

- We do our utmost to process our waste.

- All work is outsourced to local companies

- For our restaurant, we only buy fresh local products.
Hygiene and cleanliness
- We take constant care to ensure the cleanliness of our premises and hygiene
- We hope that our visitors will take care to participate by taking care not to leave rubbish in nature, not to throw away their cigarette butts, etc.
